Christmas Raffle Filly Pedigree

9th November

This beautiful unnamed thoroughbred we are giving away in the Racehorse Lotto Christmas Raffle was sired by the Darley stallion Territories and out of the mare Satsuma. A wonderful bay filly with a calm temperament, she was bred by Ed Harper and his team at Whitsbury Manor Stud near Fordingbridge in Hampshire.

Her pedigree can be seen here:

Her mother, Satsuma, was a fantastic two year old sprinter and winner. Most notably, Satsuma came second in the Weatherbys Super Sprint at Newbury in 2012 where she was beaten by a nose. She has recently bred three winners in the last 3 years, including a two-year-old filly called Good Vibes who won the Group 3 Cornwallis Stakes at Newmarket last year in addition to wins at York and Salisbury. We are hopeful this young filly will keep up the family tradition and go on to win a race in 2021.

The filly's father, Territories, is standing at Dalham Hall Stud in Newmarket under the management of the famous Darley Stud (the global breeding operation owned by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum, the Ruler of Dubai).

Territories is a Classic-placed, Group 1-winning miler from the family of Shamardal, Street Cry and Victor Ludorum. He has bred eight winners and three Stakes performers including Regional, Royal Scimitar and Uncle Jumbo. Full details can be seen here:

We are excited by this young prospect and can't wait to see her in action!
